The Eads Youth Council is a newly formed youth organization that is dedicated toward community development and new opportunities for local youth and young adults in Eads and Kiowa County. It is involved in a number of projects geared toward helping local non-profit groups in the community. Its leader is Betsy Barnett, Administrative Assistant and Counselor at Eads High School.

photograph and document the historical holdings of the Kiowa County Museum | |
KIOWA COUNTY CEMETERY PROJECT |
photograph, document, and repair the five abandoned cemeteries in Kiowa County including the Chivington Cemetery |

SAVE THE THEATRE PROJECT |
membership in the Crow-Luther Cultural Events Center non-profit group working alongside the group toward saving the historical Plains Theatre in Eads | |
COMMUNITY CLEAN UP - FIX UP |

students help community groups clean up and fix up the downtown buildings, recreation areas, and homes in Kiowa County |
SURVEY OF HISTORICAL SITES IN KIOWA COUNTY |
assist the Kiowa County Preservation Commission with the county-wide survey of historical areas, sites, and buildings | |

work with the youth of the area in recreational activities and tutoring services | |
